Balloons

The sun was out & the wind stopped. It was the first day we were able to actually eat breakfast outside.

We went to the International Balloon Museum. Every year they have a gathering of more than a hundred balloons around October.

The museum particularly meant something to me, because my step uncle Ron Clark went with a crew across from Japan to California breaking the record of miles at about 5700

These photos are of the balloon they used, Double Eagle V.

The ground crew was his family.

These pics were of additional balloons & flights

We drove to Old Town Albuquerque & had lunch at a great Mexican Restaurant.

Then we walked off our lunch around the square & shops.

We did a drive down Route 66 but I only got a couple of shots

The Madonna of the Trail statue represents Pioneer women.

We topped off the afternoon with a treat at 66 Diner.

We actually got back to our campsite & relaxed. Steve even got to watch TV.
