Sunday am we headed out to Oklahoma. On our way from Palo Duro Canyon, we spied the Legs of Amarillo. They say everything is bigger in Texas as these pics show.  We ate a Sunday lunch at the "famous" Big Texan. Some people try to eat a 72 oz steak.(not us) Delicious & very cute.  We cruised Amarillo Route 66. It was in terrible condition. Not even a picture worthy Motel. Monday morning we began early to visit the Route 66 National Transportation Museum in Elk City.    ³   Test  This was my favorite. A family at a roadside...

This is the type of storage container they put the Nuclear waste in to transport. Very interesting story behind Snoopy & Charlie Brown. With the first Apollo accident, they wanted to make sure everyone was being very careful & not making mistakes that could put astronauts in jeopardy. So they made Snoopy the Safety Officer Apollo 10 named the Command Ship Charlie Brown & the Rover Snoopy. This was the dress rehearsal for the Apollo 11 Moon walk. They made sure t...
